Here are some preliminary impressions of this successor to the S90. I'm sure we all have further comment once we have had more time to play with him.* The body is slightly thinner. However, the finish of the body is very grippier than the S90. A very positive improvement.* The front ring feels similar to the S90. Not much has changed there.* As we all already know, exchanged rings and on / off button placement is a long asked for change.* Removal of placing the thumb on the back makes it much more pleasant to look back, but I'm not sure that will appeal to everyone, as some people actually like the rest inch more. Personally I like this new look and the grippy surface, does not detract from the management.* The shutter release button is a little 're-designed and feels better when you use without looking.* The buttons on the back feels tight finish with more precise.* The rear quadrant, which received the most complaints from users of the S90, has received a welcome improvement as we move more of you breath on it. E 'tight.* The movement flash looks better than the S90. Less dangerous. rounded edges help reduce the pinch.* There are now stereo microphones in the front under the lens.* Too bad the camera is focused and will not be optically zoom during filming as the LX5 Panasonic.* The 720P is only 24 fps, which is another disappointment as panning and fast-moving subjects will be jerky.* There are also a number of additional features such as HDR, Hybrid IS for near and distance, focus tracking, lens tilt, timer face and smile shot / Smile shot, simulated fisheye etc. I'm not sure if I'll use all these.* Finally, and most importantly, the images do not look all that better than the S90 so if you do not mind the problems of managing video or minor improvements can save a few bucks and just get the S90.Perhaps the S100 will be a better time to upgrade from S90 to those who already own one.
